City of South Perth, Western Australia, is embracing smarter technologies and implementing a cloud-based enterprise software solution over the next three years.

The City will be replacing multiple legacy systems with a single, integrated solution - OneCouncil by TechnologyOne.

Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Glass said the implementation of the information systems project would be the catalyst for the City to completely transform its business.

“As the City’s single source of truth, it will provide more accurate and reliable data for better informed decision-making.

“It will enable us to improve our business processes, freeing up our people to spend more time on the things that truly matter to our community.”

The first phase of the project is scheduled to go live on 1 July 2019, with a suite of core modules including Finance Management, Asset Management, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources and Payroll and Corporate Strategic Planning.

“While the core foundations of the solution will be implemented over a three year timeframe, it’s setting us up with a solid foundation that will be enhanced and evolved over the next 10 years and beyond.

“The tangible benefits for customers will come to the forefront as we roll-out e-Services, empowering our customers and give them unprecedented access to self-serve anywhere, anytime.

“The City is excited to be the first local government in Western Australia to use this integrated solution in the cloud. It will enable us to be a more innovative and agile local government that’s focused on and ready for the future.”
