‘My Maranoa’ app to connect residents

April will see the launch of the ‘My Maranoa’ App, a free App soon to be available to all smart phone users throughout the region and beyond.

The ‘My Maranoa’ App will connect residents and visitors with community information, locations and events throughout the Maranoa regional council.

Mayor Robert Loughnan said the official launch is set to coincide with one of the region’s key events, Easter in the Country, and urges businesses to register for their listing before the launch date.

“Council is offering free listings on the App for all local businesses and community service organisations, groups, clubs and events,” Councillor Loughnan said.
“Be sure to register before mid-April so we have as much community and business information as possible uploaded to the App database prior to the launch - the more information we have provides a better user experience.”

‘My Maranoa’ will allow local business to reach a large audience for free, to compliment existing marketing strategies and increase potential client base or event attendance.

The app will also allow businesses to directly communicate and connect with their target audience or market.

The ‘My Maranoa’ App will be available not only to visitors for tourism purposes but also for residents to receive instant connectivity to information about local businesses, community services and events.

There are plenty of features to keep both visitors and residents clicking, including an event calendar, what’s on information, destinations for accommodation and food, a business and community directory and updates on local road conditions.

The App has been designed for easy use and is accessible from Apple iPhones and Android smart phones, iPad and tablet devices. Users will be able to access information stored in the App even if they are not in a 3G/4G or Wi-Fi location.
