Council wins customer service excellence award

The City of Greater Dandenong’s Customer Service team has won the Victorian Local Government category of the Customer Service Institute of Australia, 2012 Customer Service Excellence Awards.

The award was announced at a gala awards ceremony at Crown Palladium attended by over 700 people on the 24th of October.

City of Greater Dandenong Corporate Services Director, Mick Jaensch, said the award win demonstrated Council’s commitment to providing the community with excellent customer service.

“Council’s commitment is demonstrated in our management, recruitment, training and continuous improvement of customer service.

“The win gives recognition to the hard work of our dedicated customer service team and all our staff who contribute to creating a strong customer service culture throughout the organisation.”

The award followed a written submission, shortlisting as a finalist, a site visit and hour-long interview by the judging panel.
