Councils Working Together conference

The 2005 Councilís Working Together conference will be hosted by Murray Shire Council, at the Moama Bowling Club on July 14 and 15. This yearís conference will include an informative and thought provoking program, concerning Local Government strategic alliance issues.

Presenters include Ross Woodward from the NSW Department of Local Government, who will be speaking on Department initiatives and the effectiveness of Council partnerships.

This conference is essential for those interested in understanding and effectively managing the direction of local Councils. It is designed to allow for maximum interaction and discussion of ideas on boundary changes, sharing resources and best practice.

Structural reform and exploring alternative options will be key aspects of the conference.

The conference program and registration forms have been mailed to all NSW and Victorian Councils and registrations close Friday July 1.
