Regions benefit from new national search platform* is a new Australia-wide photo and video search engine.

It provides a simple way to promote all local council activities and events so they can be easily found across the country.

The platform is free to use for both councils and local businesses.

FunSearch allows people to search any location to find photos and videos related to all things fun in the area, including accommodation, events, experiences, activities, food, wine, parks and more.

Locals and travellers can easily find all the great fun stuff a region might offer, and then connect directly with the local business or council for more details.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chris Gillard, says the company spent over two years researching the system and developing its impact aims.

FunSearch partners include social entrepreneurs Angela Perry, a member of the Prime Minister’s Committee for Business and Community Partnership and Nigel Sharp, the visionary behind the ambitious environmental organisation,

Along with jobs growth plans that target return to work mums and under-employed young people, Chris says FunSearch will help promote sustainable business models such as Ecotourism, Agritourism, Indigenous tourism and inclusive tourism operations.

“One of our core aims is promoting regional jobs growth but that is just the start.

“We have 11 impact aims in total.

“We intend to do a lot of good with FunSearch.”

With enquiries from people searching fun things to do and places to stay across Australia, Chris says including council events and activities on his purpose built national platform makes sense.

“If your council has a great free event, school holidays activities or anything fun –  it is smart to be there when the search for fun is on.”

For interested councils, FunSearch can set up their free FunSearch account so they can begin to get found by those searching and trip planning across Australia.

FunSearch also has a dedicated Roadtrips strategy which councils and local business can participate in.

Interested councils are encouraged to contact FunSearch CEO Chris Gillard by email at Chris[@] or phone directly on 0419 584 348.
