Invitation to join the conversation
Ku-ring-gai Council, New South Wales, is undertaking one of the largest urban renewal projects in its 100 year history and residents and business owners are being invited to give their view.
Located on the western side of the Lindfield centre, the Lindfield Village Hub will deliver a mix of parkland and community buildings including a library and community centre, coupled with new housing, dining and retail outlets.
Prior to Council seeking expressions of interest from the development community to build the Hub, the community’s views are being canvased on the facilities that need to be included in the project.
An online survey is asking the public what they would like to see in a new library, community centre and other public spaces.
According to Mayor Jennifer Anderson, Council will also be discussing other aspects of the project with the community during the remainder of this year.
“We’ll be holding events such as workshops to discuss different ideas and issues.
These will involve residents and business owners in the Lindfield area.
Options will be available to talk to Council online, at face-to-face workshops and on site, giving residents and business owners opportunity to express their views on how they want to live, work and play in the Village Hub.
