iPads and biscuits
Coffs Harbour City Council, New South Wales is introducing a novel way for residents to learn about getting connected while doing it.
No, ‘iPads and Biscuits’ is not the latest boy band; it’s a new, free monthly get-together at the Harry Bailey Memorial Library for people wanting to get the most out of their iPad.
Catherine Turner, Council’s Library, Museum and Gallery Operations and Programs Coordinator said, “iPads and Biscuits is all about bringing people together in a very informal, friendly way to offer some expert advice where needed, but really it’s aimed at bringing users together to encourage them to share their own experiences and tips in using iPads.
“It’s perfect for people who are already confident with their iPad, but want to explore further. New users would also be very welcome.
“Each session will focus on a topic such as Facebook for your iPad, videocalling on iPad, or entertainment on your iPad. The very first one is all about emailing via your iPad.
“People who don’t own their own device are very welcome to come along and borrow one of ours – and we’ll also supply the tea and biscuits.”
