Aiming to raise awareness of the counter-cyclical investment opportunities, the City of Perth has launched Perth’s first dedicated investment website.

With more than $13.2 billion of city-shaping projects underway (both State Government and private redevelopments), Perth is realising the benefits of one of the biggest redevelopment programs in its history.
The imminent openings of the new Perth Stadium (January) and Yagan Square (early 2018), along with continued progress at Perth City Link and Elizabeth Quay, are fuelling private investment across the city, including the $350 million redevelopments of Raine Square and Forrest Chase.

A year into construction, the State Government’s $1.86 billion rail project (Forrestfield Airport Link) is set to improve transport connections between the Perth Airport and the central city.
This $13.2 billion economic catalyst is changing the conversation around Perth’s competitive edge and the market is capitalising on countercyclical opportunities as the economy moves to recovery.
City of Perth Deputy Lord Mayor Dr Jemma Green said these once-in-a-lifetime developments had driven the launch of Serious Business Move, an investment website showcasing Perth’s growth opportunities.

“The time to capitalise on the investment opportunities in Perth is now, and the website arms investors, business owners and entrepreneturs with the tools they need to make their move and leverage off Perth’s competitive advantage as the seventh most liveable city in the world,” Dr Green said.

“Premium office and retail space at competitive rates has seen people choose to do business in the heart of Perth, in emerging sectors such as education, co-working spaces, medical and creative industries, for example.

“Sharing the same time zone as 60 per cent of the world’s population, Perth has a unique position as the gateway to the Asia-Pacific region and with direct flights from Perth to London starting in 2018, Perth is poised to become the Australian gateway to Europe.”
Containing up-to-date information about the market landscape in Perth, the website aims to raise awareness of the employment and investment opportunities on a local, national and global level.
