Best People Development Initiative - UNE PartnershipsHealth Purchasing Victoria (HPV), a client of CTS (Contracting and Tendering Services), won the ‘Best People Development Initiative’ award on October 17th, 2012 at the prestigious 6th Annual Procurement Professional Awards in Melbourne.
HPV, who assist Victorian health services in the procurement of related goods, services and equipment, took out the award over QANTAS and the Commonwealth Bank.
The award recognised HPV’s achievements in the development of the Procurement Professionals Program (the HPV PPP). The HPV PPP was designed and developed by CTS to enhance the knowledge and skills of both HPV and Victorian public hospital employees.
The HPV PPP consists of four classroom-based procurement and contract management training modules (based on Units of Competency from the Australian Qualification Framework) and two CIPS units of study from CIPS Level Four.
Students are required to undertake post-training workplace assignments and online training, and must also pass the CIPS exam. CTS provide students with online support and also provide a one-day pre-exam workshop for each of the two units of study.
Students who pass all workplace assignments and the CIPS exam are awarded the CIPS qualification of ‘Foundation Diploma in Purchasing and Supply’.
HPV, in conjunction with CTS, is liaising with CIPSA to establish a Procurement Academy for the health industry in Victoria. The Procurement Academy will, in 2013, include an accredited CIPS Level Five training program as well as the current Level Four Accredited program.
CTS would like to congratulate HPV on their success at the Procurement Professional Awards.
