ICLEI-A/NZ accelerates toward a sustainable futureICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability-Australia/New Zealand (ICLEI-A/NZ) is focused on identifying Local Government's role in sustainability and ensuring they have the tools, technical expertise and political will to play that role effectively. For over 230 Local Governments across Australia and New Zealand who have signed up to our campaigns and projects, ICLEI-A/NZ is associated with practical action, multi level support and capacity building, technical methodologies and partnerships. Many readers are already participants in the Cities for Climate Protection Campaign underway in Australia and NZ, the Water Campaign now active in five states across Australia, or are joining the Centre for Public Agency Sustainability Reporting, a collaboration of the Global Reporting Initiative, the City of Melbourne, the State of Victoria and ICLEI. The program provides a whole of organisation approach to incorporating TBL approaches and sustainability into everyday operations. Councils will work through a series of modules over two years, with guidance, support and advice from our Sustainability Services Team. Participants will also network, receive international recognition, develop new processes and tools and learn from one another. The program will commence in July, with limited spaces available.
