Manufacturing heartland

Greater Dandenong is ideally positioned to deliver sustainable prosperity and liveability. It is already the economic hub of the south east region and is expected to experience significant growth over the next 20 years.

The renowned manufacturing sector is the economic backbone of the Greater Dandenong community. Providing world class products as well as a stable workforce, manufacturing in the region continues to go from strength to strength. Recently two local manufacturers, Volgren Australia Pty Ltd and transport stalwart, Ken Grenda were inducted into the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame showcases Victorian based manufacturers whose innovative and sophisticated solutions to global manufacturing issues have made them world leaders.

Victoria's 16,000 innovative and highly skilled manufacturers contribute $30 billion to the State's economy, provide jobs for over 339,000 Victorians and export $9 billion of manufactured goods all round the world. Much of the above is thanks to Greater Dandenong's thriving manufacturing hub.
