Which way to inspire your visitors *
Self guided walking or touring trails and orientation maps are a great way to experience any destination – whether it be a small town or community, large city, historical or contemporary precinct or tourism region. When following these guides, it’s generally not the places of interest that let you down, but the amateurish, boring or downright confusing way in which the information is presented. Usually delivered in the form of a small brochure or booklet, the quality of the research and presentation of this type of material spans a broad range. Trails and maps which are correctly researched and appropriately presented will inspire and educate visitors, encourage longer stays and a greater financial input into the area, and are often handed on to friends or family. Others, apparently designed to get you lost, end up in the bin. Which Way? is a Melbourne based company that specialises in the development and presentation of self guided trails and orientation systems. Which Way? guides and orientation maps are informative, authoritative, communicate clearly and, most importantly, enrich a visitor’s experience. In developing a self guided trail the Which Way? team works closely with councils, communities, businesses and institutions to identify themes of interest, points of difference, and appropriate routes – and they collaborate with local historical societies in developing accurate text and images. Which Way? also specialises in comprehensive orientation systems, which often combine detailed site mapping and wayfinding signage to guide visitors around a precinct or institution. Some of the projects the Which Way? team has recently completed include a summer walking trail system for Mt Buller Resort, the Sandridge Rail Trail guide, and a series of self guided walks for Federation Square and the City of Melbourne. “Melbourne Walks, produced by Which Way have proved to be major catalyst in locating Melbourne’s newest icon, Fed Square, in people’s minds and encouraging them to visit,” said Peter Seamer, CEO, Federation Square Management “We’ll soon be on to our third print run and I think we’ll see a lot more of their work in the near future.” Which Way? can be contacted by email on info@whichwaymaps.com or (03) 9689 2716. * Copy supplied by Which Way? |
